Moon2Moon...

is an online creative experience.

Use whatever art materials you already have...

You are wholeheartedly encouraged to use absolutely any form of expression, materials and your unique personal touch.

How it works

After you sign up you will receive access to all of the moon2moon daily prompts.

My suggestion is to start the 28 day cycle on a new moon ☾

The daily prompts are organised into 7 day sections.

Start on Day 1 and work your way through... day by day...

Respond to the creative prompt by... drawing, painting, photographing, sculpting, writing or making in whatever way your heart desires.

Then you are encouraged to share a photo of your visual response in our private and very supportive Facebook group - Art of Flow at home & anywhere else on social media that you enjoy.

You are welcome to participate in as many or as few days as you like...

My intention is to be completely open and to freely spread the positive effect that living creatively can have on us. Many of the exercises suggested here are my old friends and the methods I use to connect and get into the flow. I truly believe that every human is a creative being. Nourishing and nurturing this in ourselves can enhance our lives and the lives of those around us.

My wish

is that you have some fun, explore, connect and make some new discoveries.  Some days you might only take a few minutes to respond to the suggestion and on others you may choose to focus for hours. If you have friends or family around you it's wonderful to create together. Children really love getting involved too. There is no right or wrong way and there is no pressure to do it all.

Art Materials….

A sketch book or stack of paper is probably an easy way to get started. Any drawing or painting tools you like... pencil, pastel, markers, acrylic paint, crayons, ink, watercolours, brushes, foam brushes, big paper, canvas, painting board, collage materials... Whatever you already have is perfect!

For a more detailed list, have a look in the FAQs in the menu.

Gabbi Kitchener

Hi! I’m Gabbi.

I’ve been drawing, painting and exploring art my whole life… and am passionate about sharing what I have learned about creativity.

I remember the moment when I realised that my perfectionism was counterproductive... it was the impediment to creative growth.

The more I tried to "fix and fiddle" and "perfect" a painting, the more frustrated and stuck I would feel. I used to feel like every painting had to be perfect. Then I discovered what happens when you let that go.

Releasing control and letting go of the desire for an outcome sounds crazy but...

I believe that it is the pathway back to our joyful, childlike, free creative spirit... To feel the satisfaction of making our own authentic and original art.

The Art of Flow story
In 2020, stuck at home during lockdown, I created a little experiment – 28 days of creative prompts with no rules, no grades, no "right way." Just playful exploration.

Twenty people joined our Facebook group to participate... that number has now grown to over 20,000 artists from around the world.

I realised something important: people weren't just hungry for more instruction. They were hungry for permission – to experiment, to trust themselves, to paint from the heart.

Art of Flow Creative Community was born from that realisation.
